NeoPhoto - Arrange Photo Albums and Create Photo Webpages
Review by on
If you have a digital camera – and who doesn’t have one these days – then chances are that you have quite a large collection of digital images stored on your computer. After all, to take picture using a digital camera you need only point and shoot. You don’t have to worry about how much film you have in the camera, of if the image you shot came out okay. You can easily preview the image you just shot – and if you don’t like it, take another snap.

Some people take their digital photos and keep them hidden away – it’s their choice if they want to do so. Other people would rather share their digital photos with the world. One way to do this is to create your own photo website.

That is precisely what you can do with a DTLink Software-application called NeoPhoto – you can create photo websites absolutely free of charge because NeoPhoto is freeware. Creating a good looking photo webpage that includes thumbnail pages, detail view pages, titles, descriptions, navigation links and index bars is as easy as clicking a mouse button – assuming of course that you’re using NeoPhoto.

In al fairness to DTLink Software and the NeoPhoto application, it should be said that the application can also do other things. One thing it can do is help you organize your digital photos into albums. One other thing it can do is help you edit your digital images. In this regard NeoPhoto comes with the option to crop, rotate, resize, remove red-eye, brighten, darken, change contrast settings. Last but not least, NeoPhoto lets you add titles, add descriptions, and add keywords to your digital images.

Rest assured that NeoPhoto will not mess-up you image collection. Albums created by the application are created in a separate folder where the original image is copied to. The original image stays where it is, it is not moved or deleted, or anything harmful.

For a free piece of software, this is a pretty good app to help you put together photo albums and photo webpages.

Pros
  • Freeware
  • Easy to use
  • Editing tools

Cons
  • None that I could think of
